Northern Ireland Assembly
The Northern Ireland Assembly has power to legislate in a wide range of areas that are not explicitly reserved to the Parliament of the United Kingdom, and to appoint the Northern Ireland Executive.
The Assembly is a unicameral, democratically elected body comprising 108 members (known as Members of the Legislative Assembly or MLAs) elected under the single transferable vote form of proportional representation).

Northern Ireland Executive
The Northern Ireland Executive comprises a First Minister, Deputy First Minister and 11 additional Ministers.
Northern Ireland Office
The Northern Ireland Office is responsible for overseeing the Northern Ireland devolution settlement and representing Northern Ireland interests at UK Government level and UK Government interests in Northern Ireland.
