About Us
The Wales Social Partners Unit exists to improve the engagement of the business representative bodies in Wales and the Wales TUC (the social partners) with the Welsh Government and the National Assembly for Wales. It provides information on the activities of the Welsh Government and the National Assembly for Wales to the social partners and also provides a central point of contact for the social partners and the Welsh Government.
WSPU's members are the CBI, Chambers Wales, the EEF, the FPB, the FSB and the Wales TUC.
The Council for Economic Renewal (CER) was established as a successor body to the Business Partnership Council and Economic Summits to provide a forum for engagement with the social partners. The members of the BPC are appointees of the Welsh Government, Business Wales, the Wales TUC , the Wales Co-operative Centre and the Wales Social Enterprise Coalition.
